IFC has acquired Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus’ drama “Sky” for North America, two months after its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.

The deal was announced at the American Film Market by the Bureau Sales and UTA Independent Film Group. Bureau Sales is handling international sales.

“Sky” also stars Gilles Lellouche, Q’orianka Kilcher, Lena Dunham and Joshua Jackson. It’s director Fabienne Berthaud’s first English-language film since 2009’s “Lily Sometimes.”

“Sky” is produced by Gabrielle Dumon and Bertrand Faivre, and co-produced by Pandora and Wamonos Films in association with OCS & Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. The drama will be released in France in March, followed by a German launch by Alamode.

Kruger portrays a woman vacationing in the U.S. with her French husband, played by Lellouche. The trip quickly turns into a settling of old scores and she winds up wandering in the high desert, where she crosses paths with a charismatic and solitary man (Reedus).
