Jeff Bridges will star in action-thriller “Comancheria,” with Chris Pine and Ben Foster in talks to star.

David Mackenzie is directing from a Black List script written by “Sons of Anarchy” actor Taylor Sheridan. Producers Sidney Kimmel, Peter Berg’s Film 44 and Julie Yorn acquired the script in 2012, and plan to start production in June.

Pine and Foster would portray brothers — one an ex-con and the other a divorced father of two kids — who face the foreclosure of their family’s West Texas farm and team for a skillful bank-robbing spree. Bridges would portray one of the lawmen determined to take them down.

Bridges was most recently seen in “The Seventh Son.” Pine starred in “Into the Woods” and is set for “Star Trek 3.” Foster’s in post-production on “Warcraft” and “Lance Armstrong.”

Bridges and Pine are repped by CAA. Foster is repped by UTA. Mackenzie is repped by United Agents in the U.K. and UTA. Sheridan is repped by Gersh.

  2. Mike Rogreshian says:

The real challenge will be finding a way to reach back in time and use this fictional story as a way to somehow bash America,..that’s where the real Hollywood ‘creativity’ comes into play.

  3. Edwina says:

JB is smokin’ hot in this shot! (pardon me Mrs. JB) Those young boys got nothing on him.

  4. Kay says:

Why not make a female play one of the leads? See it’s not necessary to START writing more female interesting characters. They just could just make any role written for male actors be played by a woman and suddenly the whole story becomes so interesting and fresh instead of a cliche movie that we’ve seen a thousand times already: In this case the outlaw sisters played by Cate Blanchett and Robin Wright. Imagine that duo plus the Dude…! Or switching: the sheriff character played by Glenn Close. All this new movies are so boring and repetitive even before they start production, just seeing who they cast. All is so unoriginal, mediocre and male oriented. Women pay to watch movies too, ya know?

    • Lowell says:

I concur, with all of it…but not Glenn Close, please. And let Jeff be an evil Ranger, not some new Tommy Lee Jones.
