A new trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” debuted Wednesday night, courtesy of Ben Affleck and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Affleck stopped by the late-night show to share the new clip, which features the duo’s civilian alter egos, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, interacting for the first time. The two get pretty meta as they debate the efficacy of Batman and Superman in their respective cities.

“I just have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns,” Ben Affleck intones as Bruce Wayne. The trailer also features the debut of DC Comics villain Doomsday, a Kryptonian villain who, in the comics, was responsible for killing Superman. This epic foe seems to be the catalyst that brings Superman, Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman together.

The trailer also features a good deal of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, along with Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

A new “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” teaser trailer had debuted Monday during Fox’s “Gotham,” showing a powerful confrontation between Affleck’s Dark Knight and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel The first full “Batman v Superman” trailer debuted in April after being leaked online.

“Batman v Superman” also stars Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), and Holly Hunter (Senator Fisher), and will feature the bigscreen debut of Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman ahead of the characters’ standalone films, as well as two planned “Justice League” films, which will bring all of DC Comics’ most iconic heroes together. Other Justice League solo movies already planned include “The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller; “Shazam,” with Dwayne Johnson appearing as antagonist Black Adam; and “Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher.

Snyder directed “Batman v Superman” from Chris Terrio’s script, based on a story by Snyder and David S. Goyer.

Cheesy campy CGI. Lame jokes. Annoying as hell villain (god Lex Luther is awful in this). They need to do something about that bad looking CGI monster at the end.Just not feelin’ this picture. The approach is wrong.

  2. Cary Hoffson says:

IF YOU ARE A FAN OF BATMAN AND SUPERMAN YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE AND YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM AND READ ALL OF THE COMIC BOOKS THAT HAD THEM SAW ALL THE MOVIES MADE FOR ON BLU-RAY AND DVDS AND SAW ALL OF THE VIDEO GAMES EVER MADE AND A KID THEN YOU KNOW HOW GREAT THIS MOVIE IS AND WILL GO AND SEE IT AND KNOWING THAT IN AUGUST 5,2016 THIS BATMAN AND THE JOKER WILL COME OUT AND IT WILL HAVE THE JOKERS GIRLFREIND IN THAT MOVIE TO. 3. Howie says:

What a shit trailer. First, pretty obviously shows the entire plot of the film. Like if it stops before Doomsday it’s a cool trailer. But the weird Doomsday/Wonder Woman add in just makes it a clusterfuck.

  4. Fern says:

This looks horrible. Think of Dick Donner’s Superman and Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight. How the mighty have fallen. If they try to build a universe on this sand foundation they deserve the huge losses that are coming. You can’t rely on China and Japan to bail out all this crap.

  5. OMG! This is so rad and stuff and junk.
It’s like the comics come to life and stuff and junk.
It’s like, all, whoa! And then you’re like, dude!

  6. bsbarnes says:

Way to drop in Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman into the ultimate mano-a-mano extravaganza: I’m in!

  7. Rebecca says:

    This movie looks FANTASTIC!

  8. Leung says:

So fed up about superhero movie.

  9. The torch has been passed and Marvel had a great run. Warner/DC will take top spot after Ant Man does so-so and Civil Wars creates about as much buzz as Alvin And The Chipmunks new movie. No response necessary, will not come back to check…..#WarnerBros/DCclaimTopSpotMarvelFansCryYouMad?

    • Yes, that’s a very catchy hashtag. But 13 hit movies isn’t exactly comparable to Man of Steel and some BvS, SS trailers. And Alvin and the Chipmunks is delightful, to be honest. I think DC missed out on something good not integrating Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl into their shared universe. Evn Gotham, which is clearly a prequel, could still easily involve items from the past that come into play in SS or the Batman stand-alone film.

  10. Cap London says:

Not again. The unrealistic CGI fight scenes, the raining, the darkness, buildings, cities exploding. I’m surprised they let Snyder direct this movie. I’ll pass.

    • “Cap”…..another Marvel fan that lives in mommy’s basement. Everything DC does looks like bad CGI, but Iron Man, the Hulk and Spider Man look all to real? There were times when Spider Man looked like an Atari game from the the 80’s. It’s Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, just enjoy it….and don’t give me any lengthy response, that would bore me to tears anyway…..NOT coming back to check..

  11. stevenkovacs says:

I’m gonna need earplugs for this one! ❤️

  12. Sharon says:

Jesse Eisenberg is horribly miscast…he looks cringeworthy.

  13. buffalobilly says:

gr8 casting cept for mr eisenberg.
hope he dont curse the film….

  14. Tim Handley says:

Up until 45 seconds or so left in the preview, we had hope.

At least, that’s what it’s called on Kal’s planet.

Why, oh Why did they reveal so much???

I get why Civil War showed what it did; audiences needed to see a glimpse of Tony and Steve finally throwing down. Most mainstream moviegoers may not know all of the Civil War story lines.

We all knew Supes and Batman never got along completely, there was always some feeling of grudgery.

But up until now, for BvS, we expected it to be a BvS movie. Sure we probably knew what was going to come around near the end, but we all expected an Empire Strikes Back/ Matrix Reloaded cliffhanger.

The trailer could have ended on Supes telling Bat to stay down.

They showed nearly the entire film in one trailer.

    • I hear what you’re saying, but the way these movie blogs work now – with paid sources and all that – everyone knew Doomsday was coming in this movie. So they just shut everyone up by just showing him to us. Like “there… happy?” Like when everyone was screaming that Marion Cotillard must be Talia Al Ghul, and they were like “SHUT UP! SHUT UP! She’s not Talia!” So we’ve done it to ourselves by demanding so much, we can’t complain when they give it to us.

  15. This trailer is a huge, huge, huge mistake WB/DC!!!! I’m dumping my WB stock as soon as the morning bell rings because you guys seriously screwed up with the silly teaser and this very stupid trailer…..No sensible movie goer is going to want to see this now. You just handed the ball to Marvel. #MarvelWonTheGame….

  16. Chris Darling says:

    Okay. Fifteen dollars put aside.

    • Another Marvel-ite…..LOL….DC is taking over in film media….get used to it….GOOD tun though. Civil Wars has created no buzz and if you have stock in Warner Bros., I’m Vladimir Putin (I ain’t). Warner Bros. has changed the game….don’t waste time responding, not coming back to check….#DCknocksMarvelOfPerchForGoodYouMad?

      • Rllupton says:

Are you 12 and crazy CIvil created huge buzz and record views for Marvel. The other trailers left me cold with the overall serious gloom but this trailer actually makes it look as if it migh be fun and entertaining but the rsin the mass destruction and herky jerky gaming CGI are still a bit distancing and off putting.
