‘Anabelle’ Sequel In the Works

'Conjuring' Spinoff 'Annabelle' Trailer

New Line is moving forward with a sequel to last year’s horror hit “Annabelle” with Gary Dauberman  returning to write a script.

“Annabelle,” directed by John R. Leonetti with Peter Safaran and James Wan producing, generated over $250 million in worldwide grosses on a $6.5 million budget as a spin-off from Wan’s 2013 hit “The Conjuring.” The film was based on a possessed doll named Annabelle, as described by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, and set in California in 1969.

“Annabelle” starred Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton and Alfre Woodard. There are no other attachments to the sequel  at this point.

Dauberman’s credits include “Crime of the Century” for Chris Morgan and Universal and “Vessels,” a mystery set on the Queen Mary. He also sold an alien drama pilot called “Terrestrial” to USA.

Dauberman is repped by ICM Partners. The news was first reported by The Tracking Board.

“Annabelle” is the worst horror movie related to “The Conjuring” series! They shouldn’t make a sequel since Annabelle made no sense whatsoever which by watching it, comprised by a bunch of scenes shown from other sources such as The Simpsons, Tree House Of Horror skits!

    • Zender says:

Quit your whining, its pathetic how people are complaining about this films on review websites and stuff like this, despite the fact it is highly succesful, people love it in the masses, and it objectively was original, refreshing, and has way more to offer than the likes of crap such as drag me to hell.

At least it doesnt go and kill off the main character because of a misplaced freaking button.

And what you all have in common, not one of you even makes a single point as to why it sucks.

Wooden actors? yet they support one another on the most original fashion ever seen. The husband doesnt call her skitzo and dismisses her. There isnt some lazy ending undermining the entire plot, and exposition.

This is how a horror movie should be done. If you want to be scared, find what scares YOU. if you enjoy scary however, this film gives you a thrill.

I didnt get scared once, but i loved the lore they used.

go back to complaining about transformers. Hippy.

  2. Jerry says:

Why would anyone want a sequel to this horrible movie? Everyone knows that the Warren’s are fake ghost investigators….

  3. Mrs. X says:

Annabel was awful compared to The Conjuring!

  4. Daniele says:

Annabel was good and spooky totally make a sequel I would watch it again

  5. HPR says:

I actually think it was totally underrated and captured the terror of the Manson era in California better than Mad Men. So there.

  6. Murray says:

Ugh, Annabelle was terrible and extremely forgettable.
