    Pearl? Are you kidding me? That was such schmaltzy nostalgic schlock that I couldn’t believe it was even nominated, let alone anyone would think it deserves a win. It was the most pedestrian effort I’ve ever seen from an oscar nominated animated short since Let’s Pollute, ironic considering the subject matter.

    Pear Cider and Cigarettes was head and shoulders above any of the other films in terms of storytelling, that’s what I think deserves the win.
