LONDON — Star soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he will be the subject of an upcoming documentary feature film, titled “Ronaldo.”

Ronaldo, who plays for Real Madrid, revealed the news on Twitter. The film is in post-production, and has official Facebook and Twitter accounts set up for it. These state that the film follows “a year in the life of the world’s best groomed soccer player.”

British director Anthony Wonke, who won a BAFTA for factual series “The Tower: A Tale of Two Cities,” is at the helm, and Universal Pictures produced and will distribute the pic. The film shot in Madrid, Lisbon, Madeira, Brazil and the U.S. “Ronaldo” is produced by Paul Martin for We Came We Saw We Conquered Studios, and executive producers are James Gay-Rees and Asif Kapadia for On the Corner Films.

The documentary will be in theaters in the fall.
