Berlin: Wolfe Takes U.S. Theatrical Rights to ‘How to Win at Checkers’ (EXCLUSIVE)

BERLIN — Wolfe Releasing has taken U.S. theatrical rights to Josh Kim’s debut “How to Win at Checkers (Every Time),” which plays in the Panorama section of the Berlin Film Festival. The sale was handled by M-appeal.

Pic, which is based on Rattawut Lapcharoensap’s short stories in the book “Sightseeing,” is about an orphaned 11-year-old who learns to play the game of life, doing whatever it takes to change his fate.

The producers are Edward Gunawan, Chris Lee and Anocha Suwichakornpong.
