To paint a better picture for those people are still confused, in terms of ONLY International numbers, AoU made $900M, while:
    – The Dark Knight Rises made $636.3M
    – The Dark Knight made $469.7M
    – Frozen made $873.5M

Good for them. I know a lot of people were actually kind of disappointed (me included) by this movie, but I still enjoyed it and have come to appreciate it for what it is. That being said, there was just enough Capatain America to keep me involved! :)
I hope for the DVD release they do an extended edition like the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films; they are WAY better than the theatricals and AoU did feel a bit rushed in parts.
Can’t wait to see what happens next in Civil War, Ragnarok and the Infinity Wars!

  3. Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Tops $900 Million Internationally
Keyword: Internationally. This is accounting for all the money made OUTSIDE the US.

  4. I thought the Dark Knight made over a billion too…

  5. I'm Confused says:

Didn’t Iron Man 3 make like 1 and a half billion dollars or something?

  6. Livermore says:

There have been 21 movies to make over 1 billion dollars at the international box office. Where do you get your info?

I really only bring this up because The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises made over a billion dollars – Avengers aren’t so special.

    • @Livermore, you’re thinking about it the wrong way, a lot of movies have made over a billion dollars, but the split between the US box office and the international box office is what is in descussion here. The 900 mil for example is not counting the 428.6 mil at the U.S. Box office.
