Quentin Tarantino and Ellen Mirojnick To Be Honored at Costume Designers Guild Awards

Quentin Tarantino and veteran costume designer Ellen Mirojnick will receive honorary awards at the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards.

Tarantino will receive the Distinguished Collaborator Award, recognizing his partnerships with costume designers. The award will be presented to him by “The Hateful Eight” actor Kurt Russell. Russell and Tarantino have worked together on both “The Hateful Eight” and “Grindhouse: Death Proof.”

Mirojnick is receiving the Career Achievement Award, an honor that recognizes her body of work in film and television. Her career spans over three decades and has contributed to the creation of iconic characters such as Gordon Gekko from “Wall Street.”

Mirojnick won both a Primetime Emmy and Costume Designers Guild Award for her work on HBO’s “Behind the Candelabra.” She also received a CDGA nomination for her work on Cinemax’s “The Knick.”

The 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards will be held on Feb. 23 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
