Distributors in more than a dozen international territories have signed up for “A Few Less Men,” the sequel to Australian wedding comedy “A Few Best Men.”
The film, which entered principal photography last week in Perth, Western Australia, has been pre-bought by Lucky Red for Italy; Modus Vivendi for Eastern Europe; Eastwood Holdings for Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Columbia; Italia Films for the Middle East; and by Galaxy for Vietnam. Studio Canal has acquired Australian and New Zealand rights. International sales are handled by the Sydney- and Los Angeles-based Arclight Films.
The picture is directed by Mark Lamprell (“Goddess”) and written by Dean Craig, who previously penned “Best Men.” Xavier Samuel, Kris Marshall and Kevin Bishop all reprise their roles from the 2011 film, which was directed by Stephan Elliott.
Additional cast include Shane Jacobson, Ryan Corr, “The Sapphires” star Deborah Mailman, Jeremy Sims, Darren Gilshenan, Lynette Curran, Pamela Shaw, and Sacha Horler.
“Less Men” is produced by Laurence Malkin, Tania Chambers and Share Stallings and Gorean Films. Finance is by Ingenious, Screen Australia, ScreenWest and Lotterywest, Arclight Films, New Oz and The Post Lounge.
