The job puts Petranoff in charge of Paramount’s domestic theatrical digital marketing, ranging across online and mobile platforms and social media.
The executive returns to the studio from Snapchat, where she was a creative strategist collaborating with the sales team at the social media company. In her previous incarnation at Paramount, Petranoff served as a vice president of interactive marketing. She worked on online campaigns for several films, including “Interstellar,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.”
Before that assignment, she worked at the Walt Disney Company, serving as director of creative service marketing for Walt Disney Animation Studios and DisneyToon Studios, and as director of digital distribution for Disney Interactive.
