Hulu Picks Up ‘Last Ship’ Exclusive VOD Rights

The Last Ship TNT

Hulu has acquired exclusive streaming video-on-demand rights to all episodes of TNT’s drama series “The Last Ship,” under a new deal with Turner Broadcasting — freezing out, for what it’s worth, rivals Netflix and Amazon.

The drama series, from exec producers including Michael Bay, stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra and Adam Baldwin (pictured above).

Second season of the series is slated to premiere on TNT on June 21. “The Last Ship” follows the crew of a U.S. Navy destroyer in the aftermath of a global pandemic that nearly decimates the world’s population. Their mission: to find a cure for the virus and save the world.

“Last Ship” is produced by Platinum Dunes, with Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form serving as executive producers. Co-creators and showrunners Hank Steinberg (“Without a Trace,” “The Nine”) and Steven Kane (“The Closer”) are also exec producers, along with Jack Bender (“Lost”).
