A hearing has been set for Tuesday for Hillary Schwartz, the first assistant director on “Midnight Rider,” who is the remaining defendant facing criminal charges from the Feb. 20, 2014, train accident on the set that killed camera assistant Sarah Jones.
Schwartz is expected to enter a plea as part of an agreement with prosecutors, following those of director Randall Miller and executive producer Jay Sedrish on Monday.
John Johnson, special prosecutor in the case, confirmed the hearing but declined to comment on specifics of any plea bargain. But he described the proceedings as a “sentencing hearing.”
Schwartz was to face trial with the other defendants, but her case was severed by Judge Anthony Harrison last month.
Schwartz’s attorney could not immediately be reached.
