Man With Gun Detained Outside of Joe Biden Event

The Los Angeles Police Department detained a man outside an event in North Hollywood where Vice President Joseph Biden is scheduled to speak on the minimum wage.

An LAPD spokesman said the man was arrested and booked for possession of a weapons. Multiple news reports said that that the man had a gun in his car as he was trying to gain access to the event. Secret Service personnel have been inspecting vehicles as they have been entering the event, being held at Bobrick Washroom Equipment in North Hollywood.

Biden is scheduled to appear with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, a champion of the city’s recent move to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2020.

Later on Wednesday, Biden is scheduled to attend a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Sources said the event is co-hosted by Imaad Zuberi, a venture capitalist.

    “I may be alone but often cited that it was governor John Connelly that Oswald was aiming at in Dallas and not JFK. Connelly signed Oswalds dishonorable discharge from the army and ignored repeated letters of appeal. That story is untold. So I suppose anyone that does not go after the top dog is even more of a coward. Joe Biden is a good man, not a great politician but a man of great spirit and honesty.
