Following a slew of coordinated shootouts and explosions in Paris on Friday, ISIS is threatening attacks on Washington and various European countries.
In a new video released on Monday, the terrorist organization threatens nations partaking in retaliatory air strikes against Syria. French fighter jets — in coordination with U.S. forces — launched raids in Syria on Sunday, targeting the Islamic State’s stronghold in Raqqa, which was bombed 20 times.
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” a man says according to a translation from Reuters.
The video has not yet been authenticated, but appeared on Islamic State-related social media accounts. The video is thought to be made by Wilayat Kirkuk, a group based in Salahuddin province, north of Baghdad.
“I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” another man dressed in fatigues and a turban says.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks in Paris that killed at least 129 people and wounded 350 others on Friday.
