Hillary Clinton Visits ‘the Cathedral of Colbert,’ Talks Big Banks, TV Favorites

Hillary Clinton made her first visit to “the cathedral of Colbert,” as she called it, appearing on “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday and quipping with the host about potential GOP challengers Donald Trump and Ben Carson.

According to a report from CNN, Clinton also talked about “too big to fail” big banks, a frequent target in the Democratic primary. She said that “under my plan and others that have been proposed, they may have to be broken up.”

Clinton also named “House of Cards,” “Madam Secretary” and “The Good Wife” among shows that she watches. She admitted to being “a little” jealous that Madeleine Albright, the first female secretary of state, appeared in a recent cameo on the show, according to the AP.

She didn’t answer whether she would rather run against Trump or Carson, leading in the Republican primary polls. When Colbert asked whether she could picture them in office, she responded, “Well, I can picture them in some office.”

Clinton appeared on Colbert’s rival, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” on Sept. 16, and will guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” during a swing through Los Angeles for fundraisers on Nov. 5. She also appeared on the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” on Oct. 3.

Perhaps Colbert’s best quip was when he asked Clinton what she did on her birthday, “like have a celebration for 11 hours?”

“Well, I slept late. That was pretty celebratory,” Clinton replied.
