A Bill Cosby statue has been removed from Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.

The bronze bust was taken down from Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park on Tuesday night, a spokesman told NBC News.

An online petition calling for the statue’s removal had circulated for months. The TV section of the resort’s Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza also houses tributes to Oprah Winfrey and Lucille Ball, among other celebrities.

Court documents unsealed Monday revealed that Cosby testified in 2005 to obtaining Quaaludes with the intention of drugging women in order to have sex with them. Dozens of women have come forward in the last year accusing the comedian of sexual assault.

  2. John Doe says:

” damn” black American men are the only men in America who will do mostly anything to have sex with a woman.American women’s are angels who don’t do anything to entice a man not event use sex, what world do you live in,there was a lot of that going on in the sixty too the eighty when I was in college and going to nightclubs and parties, including the use of drugs to get high on are as was the saying,to do my thing.

  3. JOE S HILL says:

This scandal is pure bullshit! so Disney removes his statue and betrays the man,to appease all these
accusers, while these”sealed court documents” suddenly appears out of the blue-how convieniant! and
this is the only proof that they’ve come up with,,and people are supposed to believe this,,really? Cosby may be hated and despised, since this scandal has already destroyed the man’s career,,but all these women, from areas of obscure time-and we have to believe what they’ve said? sorry, but no deal! the timing of this scandal is just, way, too suspicious, because somebody went to a lot of trouble,to create
this smear campaign,,and it’s just too perfect!

  4. Brian G. Sim says:

Wash the Cosby drug and rape serial stalkings under the rug, you must be high on drugs yourself. This confliction of Character, is one of the entertainment industry’s biggest embarrassments and catastrophes. A generation of people looked up to this guy as an actual Father figure. So big deal, on his down time, he was drugging and raping unsuspecting Female admirers. He’s entitled, Right?

  5. Kelli says:

How stupid. Can’t we grow up and separate the art from the artist. I have the best memories of Bill Cosby as a kid. Like I do the Brady Bunch. I won’t stop watching because of the behind the scenes relationships. No one is condoning his personal life behavior. A business that has connections with him are not condoning his behavior. People need to grow up. For all of history some of the greatest artists had secret lives that the general public would not agree with. Who was the movie director that had relations with a minor. He still directs movies. This is so dumb. Let the legal system handle the cases with each individual. Move on.

    • Normandy says:

He RAPED women. Not stole a candy bar! Not ran a red light! He is a monster and must be punished. And he is….

  6. bill black says:

Not defending Cosby, but he didn’t say he intended to drug women and have sex with them. He alluded that he obtained the drugs to exchange for sex, which wasn’t uncommon then and isn’t now. Be responsible with your reporting.

    • ConscientiousObjector says:

I would tend to agree with you, except doesn’t it send up any flags that Cosby has lost contracts with NBC, Nickelodeon and Netflix; had two colleges that he had deep ties with sever them; has had every concert promoter in the country back out on him; now had this testimony released…and he STILL has not directly defended himself against these charges? Better to remain silent and be thought a rapist than to open your mouth and remove all doubt?
