Literary Agent Anna Stein has joined ICM Partners’ publications department.

Stein comes from Aitken Alexander Associates and will join ICM’s New York office on Dec. 1.

“As her clients’ success with readers and literary awards demonstrates, Anna is a tastemaker and a terrific advocate for authors,” said Sloan Harris, partner and co-head of publications at ICM.

Stein represents literary fiction and narrative non-fiction writers. Her clients include Ben Lerner, Hanya Yanagihara and Maria Semple.

Prior to joining ICM Partners, Stein opened and ran the New York office of Aitken Alexander Associates from 2009-2015. Previously, she was an agent and foreign rights manager at the Irene Skolnick Literary Agency.
