Incentives Scorecard: Tennessee Tempts Productions With Refundable Grant

Tennessee Tempts Productions With Incentives

The city of Nashville is practically synonymous with the music biz, but the state of Tennessee also has been luring filmmakers for years, offering them a 25% refundable grant with no per-project cap. In addition to the base grant, projects that stay longer than 30 days or 90 days can qualify for rebates on hotel occupancy tax and sales tax, respectively. Plus, most state-owned buildings, parks and roads are available for filming free of charge and free of permit fees.
