Work done at new digs qualifies for incentive coin

FotoKem is expanding its post-production services in New Orleans following its move to a new space at Second Line Stage.

With the new facility, Fotokem has relocated from its previous digs, downtown near the French Quarter, to the Lower Garden District. The move to the new studio took place in September.

The new facility offers advanced file-based dailies, offline editorial systems, media management, and global file delivery. Clients will also be able to take advantage of Second Line Stage’s 2K Christie theater. Fotokem is also adding a Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve suite.

The facility has an SDI signal routing line which gives them the ability, from their suites on the second floor, to pipe high resolution files directly from the Resolve to the Second Line Stages theater.

The post production company has been supporting local productions and providing quick deployment of its on-set and near-set nextLAB since 2011.

FotoKem’s New Orleans and Atlanta offices qualify for 30% tax incentive credit, which is the same as all other in-state services. This means all services and rentals that the company provides in-state qualifies the production for a 30% tax incentive credit.
