'When I finish the show, I want the sword!'
“No, I haven’t seen it,” said Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series and a voice of a dragon trapper in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation/20th Century Fox film. “We never get to see it beforehand. I watch it like everyone else does when it comes out. Obviously, I’ve read the episode. It’s a big action-packed episode. There’s a lot happens in it that leaves people wanting more, and that’s what we want, people coming back to season five.”
“It doesn’t wrap things up in the same way that the last few episodes of the last few seasons have,” Harington added. “It leaves a lot open. I’m excited to see it. It’s one of my favorite episodes I’ve ever done.”
Last weekend’s Episode 9 showed Snow handing over his sword as he entered the forest. “I want to keep the sword,” Harington said. “I think the actual original sword is now worth more than my yearly fee. I asked them, ‘When I finish this show, I want the sword!’ They’ll probably give me a fake one and put the real one in a museum in New York.”
Is it heavy? “It’s quite heavy,” Harington said. “It’s beautifully worked, inlaid with carvings. It’s not sharp, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to fight with it.”
America Ferrera said she hadn’t seen “Game of Thrones” when they started working together (she voices the dragon slayer Astrid), but she later binge-watched the series. “I’m a big fan,” she said. “I don’t want spoilers.”
