Both will report directly to Jonny Slow, CEO of Zodiak Americas and will relocate in July to Santa Monica. The two will work closely with Tony Yates, chief executive officer of Zodiak Los Angeles, and Mike Gamson, chief creative officer of Zodiak New York.
In the U.S., they will lead an enlarged unscripted development effort for Zodiak Americas with an emphasis on adapting international formats for the U.S marketplace.
Karsberg previously served as chief creative officer of Zodiak Nordic and Yeter as chief executive officer of Zodiak-owned Mastiff Sweden. Yeter produced formats such as “Best Singer,” “Dancing With The Stars” and “Copycat Singers.”
“Cem and I have worked together for almost 10 years and during that time we have been fortunate to enjoy huge ratings success in Sweden,” said Karsberg. “More than ever before, a hit show is only a hit when it also succeeds in the U.S., so to have the opportunity to live here and join the highly experienced Zodiak Americas team is a fantastically exciting opportunity for us both.”
