The nominees for the 16th Annual Young Hollywood Awards were announced Thursday, with “Divergent,” “22 Jump Street” and “The Fault in Our Stars” among the titles vying for Favorite Flick honors, while “Pretty Little Liars,” “Game of Thrones,” and “Orange Is the New Black” face off for the title of most Bingeworthy TV Show.

“Hunger Games” stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth compete in the Fan Favorite Actor categories along with Variety cover stars Aaron Paul and Allison Williams.

The 2014 ceremony will air for the second consecutive year on the CW network on at 8 p.m. ET/PT July 28. Kelly Osbourne will host the ceremony in Los Angeles.

“We’re thrilled to see the Young Hollywood Awards, now in its 16th year, continue to ascend to its biggest show ever,” Penske said. “And to again be partnering with the CW, which is a preeminent TV destination for young talent to launch their careers, is more than fitting for the show’s propensity for being the first to debut current emerging talent at the start of notable careers.”

Klaine has made me laugh they have made me cry they have made me go OMG you two are so cute ;) but the one thing klaine has made me is stronger stand up for myself & have courage Chris Darren Kurt and blaine mean more to me than life itself they taught me how to love they taught me how to sing my heart they are the love of each other’s life’s and they are the love of mine <3

    3. alina says:

Would be nice if the entertainment media spoke up against the glorification of toxic and abusive relationships on screen instead of nominating those relationships for awards as ‘best couples’. If tv-shows and screen-writers got publicly called out on the harmful messages they send through their misguided storytelling, they’d maybe think twice if they want to pander to rabid, entitled tweengirl-fans who flood their twitter-timelines (and the comments here) or if they want to be responsible.

The unopposed existence of such a fictional glorification of abuse is bad enough in itself, but nominating it for a ‘best couple’ award is a slap in the face two times over for every current and former victim of real-life abuse.

    4. neil says:

I think Elle is great but can she really be considered a “breakthrough” actress? She may be only 16 but she has a long list of performances to her credit that the most seasoned veteran would covet.

    5. Denise Zazie says:

      TELL ME

    6. So, I have read a good amount of these comments, both good and bad, some horrific, and some that just flat out make me want to cry. I thought I was ready to write a comment, but my words wouldn’t come out. But, now, I think I know what I want to say. Now, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether it’s calling Darren a bad actor, lazy actor or whatever you want to say. Now, I will agree that Darren is not as strong of an actor as Chris, I WILL say that. Chris has this raw talent about him that my theater teach would just eat up and fall in love with, and Darren (in my opinion) is a good actor. Yes, I will agree again that some of his more intense moments may be a little bit over play, but put yourselves in Blaine’s shoes for the predicament that he was in. Tell me you would not have gone about some of the things he did the same way about the person you knew in your heart that you were going to marry, I know that I would have had a right mind to, but that’s just me.

But, one thing I will say that the writers did go wrong with Blaine/Darren that did not help him acting wise was giving him more of a background. We only know only about a hand full of things about him. He was bullied at his old school making him transfer to Dalton, his father only spent time with him hoping he would get over being gay, and that he had brother troubles with his older brother. That’s it, I think the writers could have really gone somewhere with his story, but choose not to, and that was probably the reflection of people saying that he is “so-called” “lazy” we could have SO gotten more depth about him especially in season 4 since it was his last year in High School, so in a way, I’m going to blame to writers for sleeping on what could have made him grow as an actor and giving him more of a story line instead of using him for his voice. I don’t care what anyone says, you can’t say they didn’t use him for his voice cause I can point out some specific times that they used him JUST for his voice. We get it. They man is very talented, he can sing his ass off. But the writers went wrong with this character. And even with the the Kurt/Blaine scenes I don’t really see a problem with many off them, like I said before, Darren is a good actor, he’s not on the same level as Chris, that’s just the way it is, but the writers could have contributed something that would have helped Darren to become a better actor and push his limits to see just how far he can go and how much he can grow from those experiences, but hey, not my show sadly.

Now, the one comment that made me really stop and say, ok, I’m done, it’s time for me to write this comment is a comment tat said that Blaine is abusive. (Hold the mutherfucking phone and pause that shit) please, please, pleaseeee tell when, where, how, and why. We all know that, we all learned it in elementary, tell me how this man was abusive. I need to know so I can stop shipping this. If you’re referring to the drunk scene after the bar then no boo boo, that’s NOT abuse, he was drunk, he wanted his BOYFRIEND, now I’m not defending him saying that he was right because he was wrong, he should not have pressured Kurt whether he was drunk or not. But as my memory serves, that was the ONLY moment Blaine pressured Kurt into having sex. (pause) Actually, Blaine was the one not eve sweating the sex, during season 2 when Kurt asked him about having sex, so please, you can throw that sorry excuse of a lie to someone else who cares.

Second of all, please tell me how Blaine was manipulative, again, tell me so I can stop shipping this ship immediately, and unfollow all klainers and untag all klaine on my tumblr. Blaine has in no way, shape, or form showed and manipulation towards Kurt. If anything Blaine pushes Kurt to do his absolute best and vice versa, I know people who have been in abusive relationships and have been told every detail of what has happened and Blaine has in no way manipulated Kurt. Kurt is one the strongest, if not the strongest character on Glee. In the words of the beautiful Caroline Forbes to Klaus Mikaelson “He’s too smart to be seduced by him” Kurt is strong, passionate, driven, and multi-talented. He can’t be manipulated, he thinks on his own and for damn show knows how to pull a rabbit out of the damn hat.

And lastly, of course, the big shebang of the whole argument. ‘Blaine cheated!!’ OH PUT A FUCKING SOCK IN IT AND SHOOT THAT BITCH OFF TO THE MOON!!!! Who fucking cares about him cheating. If I’m not mistaken, every single freaking character on Glee has cheated on one another except Mike and Tina. Most of those characters are criminal to cheating, and you al want to throw out the who ‘He cheated card’ Oh gosh y’all are hella funny for that, you really are. But tell me, which one of the characters that cheated apologized for cheating on their significant other??…. Don’t worry, I’ll wait… Their is probably only maybe 1 or 2 characters that apologized for cheating, and that’s excluding Blaine. So please, get over this whole “He cheated” scenario, because it’s useless and invalid.

Now, I think I have said all I have wanted to say about this whole ‘Darren’ ‘Kurt’ thing, The bottom line is, all of the people who voted for Klaine, and are excited for Klaine are excited for a reason, and that’s because we love this ship. We support their story line, and wish for nothing but good things for this ship. We want to see this ship succeed and make it to the end of the tunnel and come out fighting. So you can make all of your opinions about Darren that you want, because whether you want to believe it or not, you voted for them, you’re rooting for them, and you love them. It doesn’t matter if Daren is there to accept the award with Chris or not, because you love both or them regardless, otherwise you would just be ‘Kurt’ or ‘Darren’ Stans. so please, sit down, keep, voting, have a freaking margarita and listen to some Glee music for crying out loud, I know I am. “I’m Still Standing” has been on replay all day.

Well, that’s all I have to say, keep voting guys, we have to win, have a great day. :)

    7. Anna says:

Yay for Kurt and Blaine’s nomination! There’s just something about them – as individuals and a couple that I adore. Perfectly imperfect for sure

    8. Leann says:

To each their own, but I love Darren as Blaine. I think he is sometimes over-the-top, but I kind of think that’s who Blaine is, and I love him for it. He and Klaine are definitely what’s keeping me watching. Anyway, I love Chris, too, and hope they can pull off a win! If the comments are anything to go by, they definitely seem to be one of the more popular pairings!

    9. Erin says:

Darren deserves a lot of credit for Klaine – he is so great at portraying Blaine as completely head-over-heels in love with Kurt. They have had a lot of great scenes this past year, and it was nice to see some of the more nitty-gritty aspects of their relationship. I hope they win!

    10. Joyce says:

Ah, so excited for Darren, Chris, and Lea! I love them all and wish them luck! :)

    11. Lala says:

Ideally, Chris Colfer (and Darren) wins the best couple BUT Darren does NOT show up to accept the reward and we can hear Chris speak. IF Darren shows up and speaks I am turning my TV off!!!!!! Chris is a AMAZING actor. (his books have made my 13 year old laugh and cry at the same time = AMAZING WRITER) I cannot wait to see him in Noel Crawford!!!!. Oh, I guess Dareen can go back to Harry Potter and following yet another amazing actor (Radcliff!)

      • Jeremy says:

No matter how much you hate Darren Criss, he is a part of this couple. Two actors made this relationship iconic, not one. Two actors brought their craft and inspired and brought hope to many young kids of today while at the same time making an old timer shed a tear or more that this wasn’t possible when they grew up. That it wasn’t possible to even talk about it, let alone see it on TV. Your comments are completely ridiculous and you should be ashamed of yourself. Your own ridiculous hate is something your own idol would look at with scorn. Chris Colfer fans. The worst.

      • Fra says:

Yeah, I mean it’s not like Darren has been on Broadway or had a sold-out concert tour, or been in a movie, or is working on a solo album. That MUST have slipped your mind!!!!!!!!! I hope they both are able to be there to accept should they win – that would be a nice treat.

        • Lala says:

No, I didn’t forget. Actually saw and listened to all his works.

I have the right to my opinion and I made it based on how each actor inspires me. Obviously, in my opinion, I want to hear more from Chris.

    12. :D says:

So happy for the klaine nomination! Chris and Darren are two great actors and kurt and blaine are a beautiful couple. Blaine is not abusive. Yes, he tried to force kurt to have sex but he was drunk and he DIDN’T rape him. He protected Kurt from karofsky, he took a slushie and almost got blind for him, he didn’t want to become successful without him, he never hurt him, he would do everything for Kurt. He cheated ONCE because he thought their relationship was over, he made a mistake but he loved Kurt. I still don’t get why he’s the only character on glee to get hate for what he did when half of the characters cheated on their partners. Anyway, Kurt choose to say yes to his proposal because he LOVES Blaine more than anything in the world and I CAN’T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF MY OTP GETTING MARRIED, HATERS!
I hope Chris and Darren will win, they deserve it.

And congrats to Lea Michele’s nomination, too! She’s awesome.

    13. Nevermind says:

Chris Colfer and Darren Criss have so much chemistry, and I think they should win in the Best On Screen Couple. Kurt (Chris) and Blaine (Darren) are characters made for each other and Darren and Chris’ performance makes the couple even better so definetely I want them to win. I also think Lea Michele deserves to win in the Coolest Crossover Artist category, 2014 it’s being her year, her voice is so great and her album is totally amazing. She’s awesome and I hope she wins.

    14. El says:

Chris Colfer and Darren Criss deserve to win that award more then anyone. Klaine forever.

    15. Marii Zetina says:

I’m so proud to see Chris & Darren in the nominations. They’re the best couple On Screen. They deserve to win!

    16. Ell says:

      Kurt/Blaine are amazing. ♥

    17. Sarah says:

Watch this http://youtu.be/szyXsExkvyw becuase this shows how klaine and Chris and darren have changed the world! They deserve to win best onscreen couple GO CHRIS AND DARREN!!

    18. Kennyyyyyyyy says:

Chris and Darren FOR THE WIN! They mean everything to me, as does Klaine. They have a strong connection and tbh without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today, which is strong and confident. Chris and Darren are both TALENTED actors with fantastic chemistry which is shown strongly and beautifully through the groundbreaking relationship that is Klaine. Haters can say what they want, but I am going to be here to support BOTH Chris AND Darren unconditionally. And also, I’m a Klaine shipper for all eternity. Chris and Darren deserve to win. They are iconic both as individual actors and together as Klaine :)

    19. Jessica Wagner says:

Way to go Chris Colfer and Darren Criss you deserve to win! Also congrats Lea Michelle! You all derserve this and more!

    20. Melissa says:

    21. Teen wolf should have more nomination , this last season (3) was amazing , glad they put Dylan O’Brien cause he made an amazing performance , but where is Holland roden , Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin?

    22. Lo says:

Alright, alright, alright – nice to see Klaine in the mix. I hope they win – it would be great for them to go out on top and be recognized for their importance and for how much they are loved. :)

    23. Andrea says:

WTF Klaine??? it’s the worst couple ever!

    24. Janessa says:

Darren and Chris deserve the win!

    25. RM says:

Some of these comments… yeesh! Kurt and Blaine are an iconic couple, and will be remembered long after the trolls on the internet give up and move on to other things to occupy their time. Nice to see them nominated!

    26. Bailee says:

Klaine is a fantastic couple and they have been an inspiration to so many people. I hope they win!

    27. Rayann says:

Yay! Good for Chris and Darren!

    28. johnny2010 says:

can we vote for #SocialMediaSuperstar? if yes, then where we can vote?

    29. sanitra says:

Nat Wolff should win for sure!

    30. :) says:

Glad to see Darren Criss and Chris Colfer on this list. I doubt they’ll win but it’s nice seeing them being nominated.

    31. Taurie says:

Kurt And Blaine need to win. They Derseve to win. I love Darren and Chris

    32. TWW says:

Darren Criss is OK, but he could never be called fantastic as an actor. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be rude, but he really is not very good, especially when he’s up against the likes of Colfer, Michele, and Rivera.

I wish him success and everything though and hope he does well for himself after Glee finishes.

    33. Sammy says:

Darren and Chris made it!!!!!!!! I hope they win, they deserve it!

    34. Arri says:

What the heck is that Glee relationship doing in Best On-Screen Relationship? It is the absolute worst example of a healthy relationship.
You have some great examples of relatively healthy and ‘equal’ relationships, without including that very unhealthy Glee one.

That poor Kurt needs to open his eyes and senses and smell Blaine’s Bullsh*t.

I guess I have to admit that Colfer is a really good actor though. He shows so much emotional depth and range, and he makes it interesting to watch at least.

      • Janessa says:

I feel the complete opposite. Sometimes it seems as though Darren is acting opposite a wooden board for all the warmth and depth Chris brings in their scenes. Oh well, to each their own, I guess. I still love Klaine though, even if just for nostalgic reasons.

        • Jan Weiss says:

My reply was meant to be in response to Tim’s wonderful critique, however it seems to have been posted above Tim’ comment.

the comments on this article seem to go in a very odd order at times. Perhaps the moderators could take a look at that and sort it out. Thanks.

Anyway, my comment about the portrayal of The Kurt and Blaine relationship are in response to TIM’s critique below.

        • Jan Weiss says:

Agreed with Tim. Thank you. I have watched Glee off and on since season 1 as a more casual viewer and I have watched the shows rapidly declining quality. I remember when the character of Blaine was first introduced, and thinking tha he seemed like a nice generic (to coin your word) sort of character. As the show progressed, however, and as Blaine was given more and more focus, there was just something lacking. I could see why the young fans were going crazy for the actor, as his looks were very handsome and fit the ‘ideal’ of ‘Teenage Dream’, but the portrayal did not meet the promise. there was something about the acting that really did not and does not ring true. What you have written perfectly explains why, and it is nice to see my own thoughts actually put into words.

          thank you.

I have nothing against Darren Criss, but I truly wish that a stronger actor could have been cast as Kurt’s love interest, as then the scenes between those two actors would have been so powerful and ‘real’. it would have really added to the show, but instead, I think that the focus and time spent on this relationship, has really not been worth it. For a long time now, I and many of my friends who occasionally tune in to Glee, have been wishing that Kurt’s was allowed to just be independent again, and concentrate on his career, rather than mainly being all about his relationship. it doesn’t help either that Kurt is given very very minimal dialogue in their scenes and that the main Point of View is with Blaine. Darren, the actor, is not up to the task unfortunately, and thus, many of the Kurt’s and Blaine scenes risk falling very flat and are only rescued because Chris has the ability to do so much with so very little. he literally saves the scenes thanks to his depth, subtlety, and levels of emotion he brings to his character.

        • Tim says:

Firstly, when the character of Kurt does not act like everything is sweet perfume and romantic roses and happy go lucky, head over heels I can’t keep my hands off you, it is because, in reality, NO relationship is like that. No relationship is that sweetly shallow, happily ever after, I will love you forever relationship. That is only in the more cheap and crappy romance fiction and fan fics. Relationships and the people who make up relationships are a lot more complex and deep and layered than that and THAT is how Chris Portrays Kurt and Kurt’s involvement in his relationship with Blaine.

Every time Chris does not portray Kurt as being that blind-worshipping, I will love you and do anything for you and accept anything from you in however you want to treat me, boyfriend, he is constantly accused of phoning-in his performance, because he is showing a different side/depth/level to Kurt’s character and ‘story’ that YOU (generic) do not want to see. Chris makes you (G) ‘doubt the romance’ and quite rightly so, and because of that you (G) accuse him of not playing Kurt as he’s supposed to. NO!!!!! Chris is portraying the ‘reality, depth and complexities of a young person in a committed relationship who is wanting to commit to another person that he loves, and to share and grow with them, but also wants retain his own identity and integrity. He is portraying the ups and downs, sometimes extreme downs, and their cause and effects perfectly, but, for example, Every time it seems evident that Kurt has not completely and utterly forgotten about what Blaine did or Kurt does not drape himself all over Blaine, (Never mind that Blaine does not do the same to Kurt), suddenly Chris is ‘playing Kurt wrong’ and ‘is not following the script’ etc, which is laughable at the very least.

No, Chris is causing there to be fandom insecurities in the Klaine relationship. He is actually, through Kurt, truthfully portraying the cracks and crevasses that run deep beneath the shallow lovvy-dovy romance of a relationship. His real and truthful portrayal of Kurt is not allowing Klaine to simply be all love and shallow happily ever after that you would find at the end of a cheap romance novel or fan-fiction and that is how DARREN should be portraying Blaine also, but unfortunately, Darren is not up to the task, partly because he is in no way as talented an actor as Chris and partly because Darren is lazy.

The fact that when Chris does scenes with other actors on that show the chemistry in those scenes is palpable and yet with Klaine it just sometimes isn’t there, just goes to show that the problem DOES NOT lie with Chris. Chris has chemistry with absolutely everyone else. Darren on the other hand struggles to have chemistry with anyone. His scenes with others are just as bland. There are never sparks flying in Darren’s scenes with anyone, yet with Chris and others there are so many sparks he could cause forest fires in Australia the sparks fly so far and that is both in his romantic chemistry with others, but also in the portrayal of his friendships with other characters. They are ALL so wonderfully complex and real and the sparks really do fly.

One of the reasons why there is sometimes a lack of chemistry between Darren and Chris, is because Chris gets nothing back from Darren. He gives Darren everything he can to feed off, actions, reactions, expressions, emotions every damn thing and all beautifully layered, he gives brilliantly acted performances of Kurt to Darren and what does he get from Darren in return? Puppy-dog eyes or a sulky look. Occasionally that is what is needed and then the sparks seem to be there because Darren’s stock performance fit that particular moment, but a lot of the time the scenes do not spark, because Darren’s stock performance does NOT fit the moment. Darren gives Nothing of depth to his performance of Blaine, no little nuances, no real emotion, just superficial, flat wooden, two dimensional performances!!! Portraying a relationship is not about being able to give puppy-dog or heart eyes. NO RELATIONSHIP IS LIKE THAT!!!! There is only so much that any actor can do when they are faced with another actor who just will not give anything back. Fortunately, Chris is such a good and naturally talented that he is able to carry off most of the scenes and work well with what he is actually given.

Darren is the laziest actor on the show, and because of his constantly being told by fandom and certain media outlets that his longing looks and wistful or sulky expressions were soooooo romantic, etc, and the ‘why can’t we have someone look at us like that’ comments about those puppy-dog expressions and the fact that ‘he’s foxymegaawesomehot, or whatever that stupid saying is, he has never felt that he has had to work on delivering anything of any real depth, because those puppy dog looks were enough to satisfy the shallow needs of the klainers who just want to swoon and watch their two boys kiss and make out.

This confession that was posted a while ago says it perfectly

We only have to look at the appalling Puppet Master performance, or his performance when he confronted Elliot in New New York. Darren’s performance was so over the top and he simply PLAYED at being, rather than actually being, and ended up coming over as almost psychotic and stalkerish, in fact, that has happened a fair few times in his portrayal of his behavior towards Kurt, because there are no layers or depth or subtleties in Darren’s performances, Blaine always comes across in the extremes, be that in the over done puppy-dog expressions or the crazed expressions we saw a lot of in Puppet-Master and New New York. There is no in between. There is no subtlety to his performance. He simply plays the emotion rather than feeling the emotion.

So what I am trying to say is that if anyone is Phoning-it-in, it is Darren, because that is really all he has ever done or felt the need to do. He has been allowed to get away with it simply because fandom has fawned all over him, and if they did that with him not having to put in the work and develop those layers and nuances and back stories, why change if he doesn’t have to. The problem is that his stock performances are ‘fitting’ the scenes less and less, and so there are less and less of the ‘sparks flying’ moments, and certainly none that have matched the chemistry that came across in the ‘first kiss’, though again, that was mainly due to Chris’ performance. Darren just really has not developed Blaine beyond that, but instead Blaine has simply become Darren playing Darren most of the time now.

Chris is an actor that constantly does his homework and consequently he knows Kurt better than anyone else. And he plays Kurt perfectly, whether or not you like how that comes across in regards to his feelings, reactions and actions when it comes to Blaine or not. IT IS ALL TRUE TO KURT and to the script!

      • agreed 100% but they’re not gonna win anyway. like, I would love for Chris to win something but he just won’t. the ones that have a huge chance of winning is either The Fault In Our Stars, The Amazing Spiderman or Divergent

        • JB says:

          . To Lo,

I don’t think Tim or anyone is trying to be unfair to Darren. I think Tim gave an extremely well-reasoned and well-argued critique.

I think some of you have to ask yourselves if the ’emotional investment’ you feel is more to do with your feelings for the actor who plays Blaine, rather than the way the character is being acted, and also the feeling of frustration you have with Chris and Kurt, is more to do with what you desperately want to see and to happen, and what you desperately want Kurt to do, or say, or how you want him to react, rather than what is actually driving Kurt to do, say and react in the way he does, because as far as I am concerned as someone that is not a ‘fan’ (in other words, I am not wrapped up by my feelings towards the actors) but more of an appreciative viewer, Kurt’s actions, reactions and emotions are definitely being driven by what is actually happening in the scene, the ongoing story-lines/progression of character and relationship, and also each episode’s script, and as such they make total and utter sense.

As someone who does not feel any particular attraction to either Chris or Darren, and as someone who is simply watching the progression of the relationship, Chris performance of Kurt makes a million times more sense in how his character reacts to each situation and moment in each scene. The differences in acting skill and talent and the differences in the depth of character and emotional nuance is very marked, as well as the difference in understanding of their characters and their characters back stories, emotions, actions and reactions, and so-forth. Chris also tries to give Darren everything he can in their scenes, but there is nothing he can do if Darren does not pick up and react to what Chris is giving him..Darren can do it, there have been a couple of times where I think Darren has surprised himself as much as the rest of us, when it has been very obvious that he was, for once, ‘In the moment’, but it then seemed to shock Darren, and he lost it again.

Darren is not a naturally talented actor, and certainly his portrayal of Blaine is all over the place and lacking, but if he really worked at it, he could be tens times better than he is, but Darren has got to be willing to put in the work needed.

(Sorry, I just felt like putting my tuppence-worth in)

        • Lo says:

@Tim Wow, buddy. You’ve given this an awful lot of thought. Perhaps it would be more prudent and productive to apply this effort to endeavours other than making sure everyone knows how much better you think Chris is. I’m pretty sure we’re all in agreement that Chris is a good actor – though our enjoyment of him can certainly vary. Like @Janessa, I often feel that Chris doesn’t portray what he is meant to portray (it’s Glee, it’s not that deep) – whereas with Darren, I feel myself more emotionally invested. But certainly that’s my own bias coming in to play. This is what is most frustrating about Chris’s defenders. You’re certainly allowed to like him better – but you act like all of this is scientific fact. And I’m not sure why y’all are so defensive. He’s well-loved and respected. Shouldn’t that be enough?

        • :) says:

You simply could have stated that you think Chris is the better actor. Why leave an essay in a comment section? I only bothered reading half of it because I don’t have the time and I don’t agree with your one and only point: Chris is a way better actor and Darren is lazy.

    35. Karen says:

Aw, yay. I love Darren and Chris, and I think Darren especially deserves an award for something Klaine related, because he gives so much of himself when playing Blaine in love.

    36. Sara says:

      Kurt and Blaine FTW!!!

    37. Laura says:

Congrats to Darren and Chris! Good luck!

    38. lmfao why does Darren and Glee keep getting nominations for stuff? Darren can’t act for shit and Glee was terrible this season, it USED to be great but now its just painful to watch. I can understand Chris because he’s good, but Darren is a big fat no. And I know for sure that they won’t win anyway, because The Fault In Our Stars is surely going to win.

      • Paige says:

What’s that I taste? Is that sour grapes?? Whatever, dude. Sorry that he’s popular and Klaine is loved. And the past several episodes of Glee have been some of the series’ best.

      • Alex says:

Darren is a fantastic actor, and a great singer, and he has an incredible personality. He’s gotten parts in musicals, tv shows, a film, a music video and even Broadway. He wouldn’t get all that if he couldn’t act, and clearly if everybody else thinks he can, then you probably just have poor judgement.

        • Jo says:

@DanielAguiler And just because you and a small group of people think he isn’t a good actor doesn’t make it so either. Appreciating someone’s acting is pretty subjective. But even if he isn’t the best actor of all time, who cares? He’s a great performer and he plays Blaine brilliantly, imo. And the problem is not that we can’t accept that others don’t agree – it’s just that, man, why not champion your faves and root for those you love rather than tear people down, you know? Anyway, good luck to both he and Chris. Klaine means a lot to so many and it’s nice to see them recognized.

        • TWW says:

(I thought I replied to this, but my comment came out elsewhere, so I shall reply again)

        • there’s something called PR, that’s how he gets it but I guess you lack knowledge when it comes to the industry. nah, just because you and a group of people agree doesn’t make it true. sorry you can’t accept views that aren’t on the same terms as yours!

Chris Colfer/Darren Criss (Glee) for Best On-screen Couple!!

    40. Mike Thompson says:

Well done Variety for putting the most abusive example of a teen relationship into the nominations for Best Couple. I am sick of the media trying to tell the LGBTQ youth that the BEST they can expect is to be suffocated by a possessive, selfish , manipulative, abusive, self-absorbed, self-centered and cheating a**hole like the character of Blaine Anderson. I had a Blaine Anderson in my life once and thank God I was lucky enough to escape from that, but it took years for me to regain my self-confidence and my feeling of self-worth and validity.

ALL the Kurt Hummel’s out there deserve better. They Matter!!!

Stop trying to push that awful relationship.

      • AJ says:

For someone who has survived an abusive relationship that was physically, mentally and emotionally abusive your definition of Klaine is so far from what it actually is. Blaine is none of those things. Yes he cheated but thats all he did.

My ex continually put me down and told me how worthless I was, where as Blaine is constantly telling everyone who will listen how amazing Kurt is and even encouraging Kurt in everything. Blaine defied June in the last episode and brought Kurt on stage Kurt when Sebastian threw a slushie at him, protecting Kurt from embarrassment and getting injured in the process. He is not abusive in anyway and the fact that you call him selfish, manipulative, abusive and aall these other things is actually making a joke at real life abusive relationships.

I was abused, manipulated, cheated on, made to feel worthless, none of these signs I see in the Klaine relationship.

Also if you think after everything that Kurt has been through – the physical and mental bullying and sexual assault from Dave Karofsky. the fact that Rachel treats him like a lapdog, his mother and step brother dying and think for one minute that he would be in a relationship with someone that would abuse him on a regular basis then you don’t know the character of Kurt Hummel very well then.

Klaine is an amazing couple that have been through a lot of things but always come out stronger together. I’m sorry that some bitter Kurt stans believe that this is a so called abusive relationship (Although there have been a few who have actually admitted that they only call it an abusive relationship because everyone else does so because of that they thought it was true.). I would like for people to understand the term abusive relationship before they throw it around as easily as certain people do. It is not something to be joked about or taken lightly and the fact that haters seem to think it applies to Klaine is getting more laughable by the second

      • Rosie says:

Sorry, can’t hear you over the sound of them being a sweet, loving couple that makes each other feel safe and courageous and loved.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBwno6pszXo

      • Jasmine says:

this is actually really disrespectul. they’re not at all an abusive relationship. If they were I doubt Kurt would feel “connected, safe and loved” when he’s with Blaine. Yes, they hit a huge bump in the road before but Kurt forgave him because he trusted him and wants to be with him. there’s no abusiveness at all. most couples on glee have had cheating storylines, Kurt and Blaine are just the only two who handled it maturely. Insinuating that a good, loving couple who hit bumps but work through them is an “awful, abusive and manipulative” relationship is actually pretty offensive considering there are couples out there who rape and beat their significant other

      • bonnie says:

Blaine cheated once, and yes that was incredibly wrong of him, but he has NEVER abused Kurt. Ever. He’s never hurt him. Yes, he pressured Kurt for sex in a car once but Kurt was in control the entire time, and was completely able to get out of the car when he wanted to. Their relationship is not at all awful, they’ve argued like a normal couple, and they quite clearly love each other more than anything. Kurt literally said in the last episode that he chooses to love and trust Blaine. He said yes to his proposal because he loves him. He said Blaine makes him feel safe and connected and loved. Don’t get me wrong, i’m not a huge fan of Blaine either, but I am not okay with you sitting there and accusing someone of something that is far more serious than what he actually did. There are actual relationships which involve beating and rape and abuse and other crap like that, so don’t even try to make them sound like an abusive relationship. Get your facts right, asshole.

    41. Isistelle says:

Klaine for the win! Go Darren and Chris!

      • Mike Thompson says:

ABUSE comes in MANY forms. Blaine IS abusive!! He is manipulative and he is mentally abusive. Of Course Kurt ‘Chooses’ to be with him, he has been made to feel that he cannot do any better than Blaine. That is the pattern with abusive and manipulative partners. They make you feel like you are second best to them. That YOU do not deserve THEM, and so you believe that you are lucky that they want you, that they want to be with you,

However, They do not love YOU, they love what they want to MAKE you be!!! Mental abuse is, in many ways, more dangerous that the physical abuse. Physical abuse can be seen, mental abuse is hidden because of insecurities and because the abused generally internalizes all the abuse.

The relationship between Kurt and Blaine is definitely not one that LGBTQ youth should aspire to, and this I know from very painful and first hand experience and, as I say, it has taken me a great many years to be able to actually speak up about this kind of abusive behavior and it’s effects, and yet here is the media trying to say that this portrayal of a relationship, a prime example of an abusive relationship, is a relationship that should be nominated as ‘Best’. NO!!!!!!!

        • Sam says:

You can scream abuse as loud as you want but it doesn’t make it true.

        • Laura says:

If you honestly think that Ryan Murphy and co. are trying to tell the story of an abusive relationship, then I don’t know what to tell you. The media and fans love Klaine not only b/c they are a fairytale couple, but because they have faced problems that all couples, straight and gay, face as well. No, it’s not always pretty. But life isn’t always pretty (and ftr, Kurt has done some pretty questionable things, too). But the fact that millions of people can watch their relationship and not see anything wrong with it should be pretty telling – but even if we are all being duped, THE WRITERS OF THE SHOW don’t view it as abusive, so I’m sorry, but it’s time that all of the bitter Kurt stans who are upset because Kurt is not with the dude of their choice, give it up. You are a loud and persistent little bunch, I’ll give you that, but wow, get a grip.

        • Tilly says:

Kurt is absolutely aware that he’s good enough for Blaine. He even went out and tried dating another guy when him and Blaine broke up, but he ended it because he’s in love with Blaine. He thought about him all the time, and eventually he realized that he didn’t want to be with anyone except for Blaine. Kurt is very confident, especially now, and he’s a smart guy. He doesn’t settle, and he’s turned down a string of guys because he wants Blaine. He clearly isn’t as effected by Blaine’s weak points as you seem to think he is. If there’s one character that will not put up with bullshit or manipulation, it’s Kurt. He’s the strongest, most courageous character by far.

Chris Colfer/Darren Criss (Glee) for Best On-Screen Couple!

    43. Nesma says:

Best On – Screen Couple: Chris Colfer and Darren Criss “Klaine” (Glee) They are The Best Couple in this world ever.

    44. Amy says:

Seriously! Why is Taylor Lautner on this list? What has he done in 5 years? Does anybody still care about him?

    45. Liam says:

Why are you doing this. So many amazing people in the same category. Looking forward to see who’s going to win.
+ Lucy Michael B Jordan is black by the way… But it is true that black people aren’t well as much nominated as whites. Kerry Washington should at least be nominated.

    46. Lucy says:

this is good nobody black was included now black people can make their own show and stop waiting on prejudice whites to think to nominate them, and when they do look out cause two can play that game
