WGN America has partnered with Gaumont Intl. Television on a script against a series commitment for the hour-long drama “Radiant Doors.”

“Fast & Furious 6″ helmer Justin Lin will direct and “The Killing’s” Jeremy Doner will pen the adaptation of Michael Swanwick’s short story of the same name. The drama is said to follow how our society would handle a flood of refuges from a dystopian future.

Lin will also executive produce on behalf of his shingle Perfect Storm, along with the company’s Danielle Woodrow and Troy Craig Poon, with Ryan Andolina serving as co-producer.

“We have been wanting to work with both Justin and Jeremy and are so happy to have them come together on this project,” said Katie O’Connell, CEO for Gaumont Intl. Television, who made the announcement. “The award-winning short story really captivated all of us with its transcendent themes. WGN has been so impressive with their early slate and they are the perfect partner for us.”

Lin is also directing the CBS pilot “Scorpion.”
