“American Beauty” and “The Hunger Games” actor Wes Bentley will be showing off his dark side.

Bentley is joining “American Horror Story’s” next season “Freakshow,” Variety has confirmed. He will play Eddie, a tormentor from Kathy Bates’ character’s past who is seeking revenge, and appear in the Halloween two-part episode.

The newcomer to the FX drama played Seneca Crane in “The Hunger Games.” He’s already worked with “American Horror Story” co-creator Ryan Murphy on the HBO pilot “Open.”

“American Horror Story” veterans Bates, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy and Angela Bassett are returning to the ’50s-set new season, which centers on the last freak show in America. It’s also been announced that Michael Chiklis is joining the cast for “Freakshow,” playing Bates’ character’s ex-husband, currently married to Bassett’s character.

The Halloween episodes are tentatively scheduled to air Oct. 21 and 28.
