Watch: ‘Vikings’ Season 3 Trailer Shows More Violence

If the first trailer for season three of History’s “Vikings,” released at Comic-Con, is any indication, fans can look forward to plenty more blood and brutal battles to keep them intrigued.

At the end of season two of the Norse drama, Ragnar Lothbrok, played by Travis Fimmel, had taken Horik’s spot as King of the Danes. One of his next stops now is Paris, which he’ll raid and where he’ll go up against King Charles.

Adding to the eerie tone of the trailer is the voiceover of John Kavanagh, who plays the blind seer.

Along with Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick is returning as Lagertha. Clive Standen, Alexander Ludwig and Gustaf Skarsgard also star. Michael Hirst created the historical drama.

Though an exact air date has yet to be confirmed, the series is eying an early 2015 return.
