Watch: CW’s First Trailer For ‘The Flash’

The CW has released the first trailer for its comicbook spinoff “The Flash.”

Debuting during the first commercial break in “Arrow’s” season finale, the trailer shows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) aka the superhero Flash, marking the first time Allen has been seen since his he was struck by lightning at the end of his two-episode appearance on “Arrow” in November.

John Wesley Shipp, the original Barry Allen from the ’90s series, also joins the cast along with Daneille Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton and Rick Cosnett.

the head gear needs to be skin tight with no edges seen. I give this show maybe two episodes and it will be cancelled. And Arrow? Why? Who watches that show? Big deal, the guy can shoot an ‘arrow’…ooooooooo….

  2. Alex says:

This guy looks like another cocky poser…only in a drab, stupid costume, of the sort that new age fans will find “old-fashioned” and traditionalists will find too brown and colourless.

Minimalistic as it may be, I still get a good feel of the direction they’ll be going with in this…and it’ll be rubbish. Think I’ll be sticking to “Arrow” from now on…the only half-decent comic-character adaptation apart from the Nolan Batman Movies, “The Winter Soldier” and “Watchmen”. Have no hope whatsoever for “Gotham” either, but this does look even worse.

You were able to deduce all that from a 60 second teaser. I will wait for the pilot before making a decision about the character and direction of the show.

  3. Some more DC comics characters for CW to totally screw up!!! First Superboy (and the characters who appeared), then Aquaman, and now The Flash. The 1990 version of The Flash was cheesy, but it was faithful, for the most part.
