Comicbook writer Robert Kirkman’s new exorcism drama “Outcast” has been ordered to pilot stage at Cinemax.
Kirkman, who created the “Walking Dead” comic series with artist Tony Moore, announced the news via Twitter from Comic-Con.
“Outcast” is based on a Kirkman comic that follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. He embarks on a journey to find answers, but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth.
Kirkman will serve as exec producer with David Alpert of Circle of Confusion, Sue Naegle, Chris Black, and Sharon Tal Yguado of FIC.
Cinemax acquired the script in November.
