Vishnu Athreya has been named Vice President, Program Scheduling at Cartoon Network and Boomerang, the cabler announced Monday.

In his new position, Athreya will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day scheduling and strategic positioning of programming content for Cartoon Network, Boomerang and branded non-linear program platforms.

“Vishnu has artfully produced high-performance schedules in territories around the world, and now assumes the U.S. role with a deep knowledge of our product,” said Rob Sorcher, chief content officer for Cartoon Network. “I’m pleased we were able to tap our own international talent pool, and as a result expect Vishnu to be a unifying link for Cartoon Network worldwide.”

He began his career in advertising as a media planner with MediaCom India, part of Grey Worldwide.

The problem with the programming on Cartoon Network is that you fell off from the original format which was classic and new anime why you showing shows like Powerpuff Girls, Uncle Grandpa, Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball Scooby-Doo!! Those shows are a waste of air time i could dona much better job in my sleep. There are shows that are much more entertaining and action packed. Please get back to shows like dragonball Gt, one punch man, and classic shows like Robotech, voltron, Thunder cats etc…oh lets not forget THE DC UNIVERSE!! How in the hell do you take away those types of shows and its well known who dominating the film world now its super hero movies!! Come on in and get with the program.
