TV Land is expanding its programming department with the appointment of Dana Tuinier as veep of development and original programming.
Tuinier comes to the Viacom cabler from Fox, where she was most recently director of current programming. She reports to Keith Cox, exec VP of development and original programming.
“We are thrilled to have Dana on board as our department expands to accommodate the growth in our original series,” Cox said. “Her experience working on a wide variety of shows in different formats is invaluable as TV Land explores new types of original programming.”
Tuinier joins fellow VPs Brad Gardner and Rose Catherine Pinkney on Cox’s original programming team and will work with the group to supervise TV Land’s current series including “Hot in Cleveland” and “Jennifer Falls.” TV Land has a third series, the Hilary Duff-Sutton Foster comedy “Younger,” on deck for launch later this year. The cabler recently greenlit two pilots, “Teachers” and “Impastor.”
At Fox, Tuinier worked on “New Girl,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” and “Glee,” among other shows.
