Steve-Kozak

Former “Tonight Show” clip producer Steve Kozak has been tapped to head North American operations for Paris-based Novovision, effective March 1.

Kozak spent the last 10 years on the Jay Leno-hosted show, which taped its final show on Feb. 6. The job required him to procure footage for the monologue and comedy segments, as well as the Before They Were Famous clips for the show’s guests.

Previously, Kozak was a producer for the American version of “Whose Line is it Anyway?,” as well as “Dick Clark’s Bloopers!” and Fox Sports’ “You Gotta See This!” He spent seven years at Paramount Pictures Television in affiliate relations — three at “Hard Copy” and four at its spin-off series “Real TV.”

“Steve is one most prolific producers in the clip show genre,” said Francois-Xavier Poirier, president of Novovision. “Steve joining Novovision will greatly strengthen our presence in this part of the world, and follows the creation of Novovision Canada last spring, headed by Nathalie Bourdon.”
