The Next ‘Bachelor’ is Chris Soules

ABC’s next “Bachelor” is Chris Soules, the network confirmed Wednesday morning. Soules was announced as the newest headliner of the long-running reality dating series on “Good Morning America.”

After making it to the final three in Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette,” Soules will again vie for love in season 19 of the “Bachelor” franchise, and believes he can “absolutely” find love again after being rejected by Dorfman. “I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t feel like that was a potential,” he insisted on “GMA.”

After getting the offer, Soules admitted that, “I was humbled, flattered, grateful. Coming from a small town, I’d never really expected to have this opportunity to be on either show, let alone be the lead on ‘The Bachelor,’ so it’s been awesome.”

The 32-year-old farmer hails from Arlington, Iowa and said that coming into the new season, “My focus is going to be to make the girls that are on the show as comfortable as possible because that was my first, initial challenge, was opening up to Andi.”

The new season of “The Bachelor” will premiere in January 2015.

Don’t you just love it? Fish a half naked and half drunk girl (or guy) out of a hot tub filled with a couple dozen desperate model and/or actor wannabes so that you can find your one true love and soul mate. The record of successful relationships is terrible but viewers keep tuning in. While hundreds of thousands of gay couples continue to fight for marriage equality television makes a mockery of marriage by turning it into a sleazy game show.

Can’t ABC find anyone out there stupid enough to play these tacky roles. The gene pool for this show is virtually incestuous. Quite obviously all it takes for these contestants to find “true love” is a six pack, eight inches or a tight little one with DDD cup in either sex nothing over an average NBA winning game score IQ is required. Whoever he rejects will be the next worthy contestant to rebound their undying love for lifetime.
