The series will show both the male and female perspective, as Alison (Wilson), a young woman waiting tables at a Hamptons diner, begins an affair with Noah (West), a public school teacher and aspiring novelist. Jackson plays Alison’s financially struggling husband, Cole, and Tierney plays Helen, Noah’s wife of 17 years.
The show was created by “House of Cards” writer/exec producer Sarah Treem with former fellow “In Treatment” scribe Hagai Levi. Both Treem and Levi serve as EPs, along with former “The Wire” exec producer Eric Overmyer and former “Friday Night Lights” exec producer Jeffrey Reiner.
“The Affair” is set to premiere at 10 p.m. Oct. 12 on Showtime.
