‘Teen Wolf’ Actor to Play Absorbing Man in ‘Agents of SHIELD’

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” has found a new supervillain.

Brian Patrick Wade (“Teen Wolf,” “Generation Kill”) will debut as Carl “Crusher” Creel — better known to comicbook fans as his all-consuming alter ego Absorbing Man — in the ABC drama’s season two  premiere on Sept. 23, according to Marvel.com.

The character is an antagonist to Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson and his team. Wade joins recently announced new cast members that include Adrianne Palicki, who will play Mockingbird, and Lucy Lawless, who will play SHIELD veteran Isabelle Hartley.

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” is executive produced by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb.

It is produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.
