Tea Leoni to Lead Morgan Freeman’s Secretary of State CBS Drama Pilot

Morgan Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment has cast his “Deep Impact” costar Tea Leoni to play the Secretary of State in its CBS drama pilot, “Madam Secretary,” the network announced today.

The drama about a maverick female Secretary of State dealing with international diplomacy, office politics and a complex family life comes via executive producer and scribe Barbara Hall (“Judging Amy,” “Joan Of Arcadia”). CBSTVS is producing, along with Freeman, Lori McCreary and Tracy Mercer of Revelations.

CBS announced “Madam Secretary’s” pilot green light on Monday.

  1. Tea Leoni is one of the most annoying actress, no offense but the actress for this role should be a charismatic sexy yet strong woman. Tea in “spanglish” or “dick and jane”? very bland and aas I said and have heard many people say… Annoying. This means the project is doomed to fail. if geena davis who we love couldn´t carry a series about a female president, this is much worse because many people doesn´t even like Tea enough
