TBS Renews Bill Lawrence’s ‘Ground Floor’ for Second Season

Ground Floor” is going up: TBS has ordered 10 episodes for the second season of the sitcom.

The show, created by Bill Lawrence and Greg Malins, is a modern take on “Romeo and Juliet” in which investment banker Brody (Skylar Astin) falls for maintenance worker Jennifer (Briga Heelan). The new season, slated to begin lensing in late 2014, will follow Brody as he copes with the aftermath of choosing Jennifer over a work opportunity.

Jeff Ingold and Jeff Astrof serve as exec producers. The series is produced for TBS by Lawrence’s Doozer, in association with Warner Horizon TV.
