NBC said MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall would join “Today” as a co-host in the 9 a.m. hour of the program, elevating her from fill-in status.

Hall will appear with the rest of that hour’s regular crew, which includes Al Roker, Willie Geist and Natalie Morales.

Hall joined MSNBC in 2007, and currently hosts “NewsNation,” which launched in 2010. She is also host of “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall” on Investigation Discovery. She is expected to continue those duties. The “Deadline” program is produced by NBC News’ Peacock Productions.

I have always liked Tamrom Hall and I love the third hour. But, she just takes over. She’s so BIG. She talks over everyone. I think it’s her natural extroverted self, but she’s just too much to take at 9 AM. I may go back to watching Kelly and Michael. I thought the three was good. NBC has to either get rid of the three other hosts or just give the hour to Tamron. I’m exhausted after two days.
