Starz Developing Drama Series ‘The Disappearance’ From Amblin TV

Starz is working with Amblin TV to develop  “The Disappearance,” a drama from “Hannibal” scribe Nick Antosca.

Series follows Alice Grimson, who is overjoyed when her teenage son Josh returns seven years after being kidnapped, but when she begins to connect him to a series of local murders, Alice begins to wonder if her son is keeping secrets.

Antosca currently serves as a co-producer on “Hannibal.” His past credits include NBC’s “Believe,” ABC’s “Last Resort” and MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”

Amblin Television co-presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey (“The Americans,” “Under the Dome”) will executive produce along with Antosca. Starz will retain worldwide rights for the series.

Amblin is repped by WME. Antosca is repped by WME and Circle of Confusion.
