“Sons of Anarchy” has set the date for the start of its final ride.
The seventh and final season of the FX drama will premiere Sept. 9 with a special one hour and 45 minute episode, the cabler announced Thursday. It will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
FX also announced that immediately following the premiere, a live post-show, “Anarchy Afterwords,” will air. The post-show, hosted by “Chelsea Lately’s” Chris Franjola, will air another episode after the show’s series finale.
“Sons of Anarchy” is only the latest series to add in an after show, joining the trend with such shows as AMC’s “Talking Dead,” a post-show for hit “Walking Dead,” and A&E’s “After Hours,” a post-show for “Bates Motel.”
FX has been revving up the drama leading up to its final season. The network has set rockers Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love to join the cast, which includes Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Jimmy Smits, Peter Weller, Drea de Matteo, David LaBrava, Niko Nicotera, Kim Coates, Mark Boone Jr. and Tommy Flanagan.
