Showtime Developing Corporate Espionage Comedy from Marc Webb, David J. Rosen

Showtime is developing a half-hour comedy from “The Amazing Spider-Man” director Marc Webb and David J. Rosen.

Titled “Professionals,” the laffer centers on two partially broken mid-level employees who become ensnared in a dangerous game of corporate espionage. The project commitment is for three scripts, written by Rosen, with Webb attached to direct.

Rosen is the creator of MTV’s “I Just Want My Pants Back” and Fox’s “Us & Them.” He is represented by CAA and attorneys Joel Mckuin and Jeff Frankel of McKuin Frankel Whitehead.

Webb’s past work includes “(500) Days Of Summer,” the “Spider-Man” reboot and its sequel “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” He is exec producing and directing another Showtime comedy pilot,”Crazy Ex Girlfriend.” He is repped by CAA, Michael Sugar and Bard Dorros at Anonymous Content, and attorneys Jamie Feldman and Linda Lichter.
