'Saturday Night Live' Alum Bill Hader

“Saturday Night Live” alum Bill Hader has inked a deal to develop a comedy series for HBO.

Pact calls for Hader to write and star in a vehicle for the pay cabler, but there’s no word yet on specifics.

Hader logged eight years on NBC’s “SNL,” signing off last year. Since then he’s done a few TV guest shots, on “The Mindy Project” and “Portlandia,” and he was seen in HBO’s Larry David telepic “Clear History.” He’s working with fellow “SNL” alums Seth Meyers and Fred Armisen on producing and starring in a limited-run mockumentary project for IFC, “American Documentary.”

On the big screen, Hader’s recent credits include Spike Jonze’s “Her” and the teen comedy “The To Do List.”

Hader’s pact with HBO was first reported by Deadline. He’s repped by UTA and Odenkirk/Provissiero Talent Management.
