NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” will return May 22 with new judges Roseanne Barr, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Russell Peters, and new host JB Smoove.

The 13-episode reality competition show will start with 100 American comics, all of whom were invited to audition, vying for 20 spots. The top 10 will move into more challenging rounds consisting of sketch, improve and stand-up comedy.

The winner will take home an NBC talent deal and a half-hour scripted project to be developed by Universal Television.

Push It Productions’ Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz  are executive producing the show, along with Javier Winnik.

“Last Comic Standing” previously ran for seven seasons from 2003 to 2010 on NBC. Past contestants include Amy Schumer, Doug Benson and Lavell Crawford.

Roseanne will be a great judge! It is a shame we don’t have sitcoms on TV anymore like ‘Roseanne’. She knew how to make audiences laugh while tackling controversial issues. Welcome back to TV!
