Ken Weatherwax, Pugsley on ‘The Addams Family,’ Dies at 59

Addams Family Ken Weatherwax dead

Actor Ken Weatherwax has died at the age of 59 following a heart attack, according to TMZ.

A woman saying she is Weatherwax’s niece posted the news on Facebook.

Weatherwax is best known for playing Pugsley Addams on the original “Addams Family” television series, later voicing the character in the animated series and playing Pugsley Sr. in TV movie, “Halloween with the New Addams Family.”

The actor later worked behind the camera as a grip and set builder, frequently making appearances at “Addams Family” fan and tribute events.

    Poor Pug. Such a gentle, quiet boy from a fine television family. My sincere sympathy to the Weatherwax clan, which produced an iconographic T.V. character who will make people laugh and forget their worries for decades.

    It’s very sad when someone from our generation of television passes because those were amazing original shows that will never be replicated. The spirit in the energy of that entire production made it unique something that the world desperately needs today. Rest in peace Pugsley we all loved you and we love what you gave to this world.

      He was part of the clean, simple minded humor that the whole family that laughed together. Sorry of the loss for his family, but I’m sure Pugsley will laugh in peace.

        I liked the Pugleymcharacter and name so much that when our family and friends need comic relief i’ll call someone or just say “Pugsley” !!!!!! And I mean that respectfully toward Ken RIP you were a part of what the others said before me about great Tv shows,(something the whole family could watch ,(and get something different from!). Thank you.
