Olympic ice dancing partners Meryl Davis and Charlie White will soon be rivals, as the duo has joined the latest crop of competitors in ABC’s long-running “Dancing with the Stars.”
The list of stars, which hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced this morning on “Good Morning America,” also includes comedian Drew Carey, former child stars Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar, swimmer Diana Nyad and Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy.
Aside from the Davis-White face-off, ABC has another ratings enticer this season: A new gimmick dubbed the “switch up” allows audiences to vote to swap the contestants with their dance partners.
The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” bows with a two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. March 17.
