NBC has given a series order to “Allegiance,” a drama about a young, idealistic CIA analyst (Gavin Stenhouse) specializing in Russian affairs who learns that his parents are former covert Russian spies that the Kremlin has re-enlisted to plan a terrorist operation inside the United States.

Scott Cohen (“Necessary Roughness,” “Gilmore Girls”) and Hope Davis (“The Newsroom,” “In Treatment”) play the parents. The cast also includes Margarita Levieva, Morgan Spector, Annie Ilonzeh, Alexandra Peters and Kenneth Choi.

Writer-director George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”) serves as executive producer with Avi Nir (“Homeland”), Ron Leshem, Amit Cohen, Yona Wiesenthal and Giyora Yahalom. “Allegiance” is a production of Universal Television, Keshet Media and Yes!
