MTV's 'Catfish' Renewed Season 4

MTV has renewed reality hit “Catfish” for season four, the network announced Friday at the Television Critics Assn. summer press tour. The series is hosted by Nev Schulman and Max Joseph as they explore the truth and lies behind the world of online dating. The series is based on Schulman’s 2010 documentary film of the same name.

The show wrapped its third season on Wednesday night, drawing a 1.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.

The network also announced a series pickup for fantasy series “Shannara” from Jon Favreau, Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, with the first two episodes to be directed by Jonathan Liebesman.
