Michael McKean Joins ‘Breaking Bad’ Prequel ‘Better Call Saul’

In its first bit of major new casting news, “Breaking Bad” prequel “Better Call Saul” has tapped character actor Michael McKean for a co-starring role.

Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks have already signed on to reprise their roles in the AMC comedy that is exec produced by “Bad’s” Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould and Thomas Schnauz with Sony Pictures Television and Gran Via Productions.

McKean is repped by APA and Harriet Sternberg Management.

Variety sister site Deadline Hollywood was the first to announce the casting.
