Lifetime is feeding off of the success of its reality show “Dance Moms” and giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at raising one of TV’s emerging child prodigies.

“Raising Asia” is set to debut at 10 p.m. July 29 and will feature 8-year-old child sensation Asia Monet Ray and her mom, Kristie. Monet Ray is also famous for appearing in “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” where she placed third. Before that, Monet Ray went viral on YouTube for singing and dancing performances.

The docuseries will follow Monet Ray and her model mom alongside record-holding bodybuilder dad and younger sister Bella Blu helping reach Asia dreams of fame in showbiz.

To fill the summertime TV void, 14 half-hour episodes have been ordered for this season.

The show will be produced by Collins Avenue with Jeff Collins, Michael Hammond, Sandi Johnson and Bryan Stinson along with Leola Westbrook exec producing.

Lifetime’s Eli Lehrer, Mary Donahue and Kimberly Chessler will also exec produce.

  2. mario d'arcy g. sunico says:

this child will grow up with a distorted sense of values… in what way will she rule the world when she grows up? this world is not all about dancing or singing or entertaining… michael jackson never even thought he’ll rule the world when he was young… he did but he became a drug addict because of his entertainment commitments & distorted values. untimely success for a very young child with physical abilities would definitely push the child to a physical tragedy…

  3. Jean Twitty says:

I think its kool! This child has positive talent better than watching children being scared to death to do right in life …good for u Lifetime!

  4. Terri Stephens says:
