Lifetime is looking for divine intervention to bring a large aud to its Dec. 7 miniseries “The Red Tent.” The cabler has set a two-hour “The Women of the Bible” special produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett to air as the lead-in to the mini set in Biblical times.

Burnett and Downey previously produced the boffo “The Bible” mini drew huge auds for History last year, and also aired in reruns on Lifetime. The two-hour special is likely to feed a big crowd into the first half of “Red Tent,” based on the novel revolving around the lives of four women in Old Testament times. The second half of the mini airs Dec. 8.

“Women of the Bible” will examine the stories of Eve, Sara, Rehab, Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary and feature interviews with Christine Caine and Priscilla Shirer, co-founders of Going Beyond Ministries; Victoria Osteen, co-Pastor of Lakewood Church; Eva Rodriguez of the Latino Evangelical Women’s Assn; Kay Warren, co-founder of Saddleback Church; and Bible teacher Joyce Meyer.

God has placed a very special anointing upon Roma and Mark to produce the most ‘excellent’ real to scripture stories. The fishing hook He gave you is massive and amazing, at the same time. Keep being led by His Spirit and the best is yet to come!
