Josh Groban Salutes Jimmy Kimmel’s 2000th Show

Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” 2000th episode aired Monday with special guest Josh Groban honoring the accomplishment the way he does best — through song.

The singer serenaded Kimmel’s work over the past 11 years, saluting triumphs that may or may not be true.

“A generous host who gave away his favorite things, could you have been any better as Chandler Bing,” sang Groban.  “I think that was Matthew Perry,” chimed Kimmel.

“You teamed up with a talking car, remember when you shot J.R., retired from baseball to run a bar.”

“That was ‘Cheers’.”

“No. Cheers to you Jimmy,” said Groban.

Groban mistook Kimmel as Batman, the octomom, a warrior princess, and ended this song by saying, “We’re gonna miss you Jimmy. We’re gonna miss you a lot,” but Kimmel said he’s not going anywhere.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” first aired on  January 26th, 2003.
